Leadership & Performance expands to all areas of life. As a lifelong educator and coach, I recognize we all can lead where we are. Leadership skills are acquired through self-discipline and learning. Leaders study psychology to understand the mind and behavior. They know that inspirational leadership will influence society and enhances lives.
The American Education System should teach Leadership beginning in sixth grade. Every student should know how to define leadership and understand the qualities of a good leader. Students must acquire leadership skills that translate to their daily lives, where they exhibit intrinsic & extrinsic motivation. Teach kids how to build true confidence that positively impacts others.

The Creator
My name is Ben Colbert, and I’m from Berea, Kentucky. I am currently on the long road of self-discovery and excavation. Each day, my goal is to strengthen and create a better version of myself. I am not a finished product, and there is no finish line. I hope to share stories and provide information that will help direct you on your path.
Beyond creating and sharing content, I am a high school physical education teacher and former football & track coach. I have taught and coached for almost 15 years. Our coaching staff has created a premier leadership and character development program during this time. Our primary goal was to help our teams develop into men of virtue. This program was essential to our appearance in the 2017 Kentucky High School State Championship Game.
For several years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to Sweden to teach aspiring football coaches and players. I spoke on topics such as harnessing fear, leadership skills, performance, wide receiver & defensive back play, and special teams. The Taby Flyers organization and host families welcomed us into a magnificent culture of friendship, family, self-development, and acceptance. These trips have been a frequent highlight of my life, and I hope to share my stories.
I have a wonderful wife named Casey, who challenges me daily to pursue my goals. She has encouraged me to write and share this blog. She is beautiful, passionate, and decisive in her quests. She’s my Honey! We have two sweet baby girls named Emersyn Lynn & Nora Lee, who are our gifts from God.
